Fine, I’ll fix
the embeds myself.
Civitai’s embeds have been broken for years, and I got tired of waiting. Paste a .com or .red link below, copy the Grembed version, and put it in chat.

This is the one to put in chat.
Images, videos, posts, models and articles. Comics aren’t ready yet.
Using Grembed
- 01
Grab the original link
Copy the Civitai page you want to share. If you’ve picked a model version or a particular post image, keep that part of the link.

Run it through the box above
Paste it in, hit Make preview link, then copy what comes out.

Post it
Put the Grembed link in Discord or another chat. Anyone clicking it goes straight to the original Civitai page.
Or just change the URL
Swap civitai.red for grembed.dev/red, or civitai.com for grembed.dev/com. Leave the rest of the link alone.

Posts
The image, plus your title and description if you added them and Civitai lets Grembed read them.

Model name, creator and preview image. Links to specific versions work too.

Before you ask…
Is Preview what the Discord embed will look like?
Roughly. It shows the image and text being sent over, but Discord decides how to lay it out. Other apps do their own thing, especially with videos.
Where’s my post title or description?
Posts are still a bit finicky. I can usually get the image, but Civitai doesn’t always let me read the title or description. If that happens, you’ll get the artwork and artist’s name instead. Anything you left blank stays blank.
Does .red work?
Yep. .com stays .com, and .red stays .red. You don’t need to change anything. If Civitai won’t return something publicly, Grembed can’t show it either.
Why am I still seeing the old embed?
Discord caches embeds, sometimes for longer than you’d like. Preview shows what Grembed is returning now; the card already sitting in your chat may take a while to catch up.
Do I need to log in?
Nope. There’s no account to make and no API key to set up. Just paste the link.
Comics?
Not yet. The covers and genres are there, but Civitai won’t let Grembed read them anonymously. I’m waiting on a public comic endpoint so I can add them.
